Special Certificates are a type of document that includes Trading Status Certificate, and Force Majeure Certificates.
Special Certificates
-
Company Trading Status Certificate
This certificate confirms that your company is a legally trading company and provide a brief description of the company’s activities. Content of the certificate can be tailored to suit your requirements i.e. we can show company directors, shareholders etc. These are often used in international tenders.Force Majeure Certificate
These are certificates attesting the existence of force majeure circumstances i.e. circumstances beyond the control of the applicant such as fire, flood, industrial disputes etc. Please note that we can only certify factual details that can be evidenced. We cannot comment as to whether or not Force Majeure applies or argue such claims on behalf of the applicant. It is the responsibility of the applicant to claim Force Majeure and the issuing body’s role is to provide a certificate in support of such claim.

Training and Masterclasses
Otodynamics has been a member of the HCCI for 25+ years. Working with the export team, in particular Frances, has enabled us to trade with new countries we wouldn’t have really considered and the knowledge and advice given has been second to none especially with more complex issues. With forever changing overseas rules and regulations surrounding export documentation etc., the benefits to us and the services offered in terms of training and the on going advice and support has been second to none.
Jon Parsons, Sales Coordination Manager, Otodynamics Ltd
The Chamber of Commerce network has always been a champion of international trade and there is no doubt in my mind that any business that embraces exporting will be better off for it. It’s one of the reasons why more than 60% of Chamber members trade overseas compared to just 10% of all businesses in the UK.
It’s also because of the fantastic support Chambers can provide both in the UK and, through our Global Business Network, in more than 75 markets around the world. This capability to offer an end-to-end service for Chamber members, whether they are starting out or looking to build their trade further, has always made our network unique.
British Chambers of Commerce Trade Manifesto
The Global Business Network (formerly Overseas Business Network) is the initiative of the British Chamber of Commerce. UK companies, who are Chamber members, will be linked may link into with this network and will be able to access support and services through British Business Centres via Chambers across a variety of countries to complement those currently offered by DIT in the relevant countries. This will provide UK companies with a wider scope of services available to them to help them succeed in their chosen market.

Developing into overseas markets
We at Stanmore Implants Worldwide Ltd are very fortunate to consistently receive the absolute highest service from Frances who is always extremely helpful with any queries and very forgiving of our sometimes tight deadlines and short notice requests. Her continually great work is very much a key part of the service we provide exporting urgent custom made orthopaedic implants for bone tumour patients at short notice around the world and we are very grateful.
Chris Whitcombe, Customs Controller, Stanmore Implants Worldwide Ltd
